While the members of Lamnth thrive on working with composers on  new works, we also enjoy music written before 2022. The Jack-o-Lamnthern Spooktacular was born out of our desire to play older music, and to celebrate Halloween, the favorite holiday of at least one member of Lamnth. Each year, we invite four composers and instrumentalists to "dress up" as other composers by arranging existing music for violin and cimbalom. Costumes are required for all attendees, with awards given to the most creative. The third Spooktacular in 2026 will feature new arrangements by Robert Dillon, Marti Epstein, Sid Richardson, and Michelle Ross.
